it’s funny how i said in the last sentence of my last post that i’m “gonna lock in” then proceed to miss 7 straight weeks of posts lol.
anyways, i’m back. and the last post of the year to wrap things up. let’s do a quick summary of the last 7 weeks then some reflections at the end for how this year went, what you think? you don’t really have any choice in the matter, i’m the one writing…
(sidenote, i’m writing this 10 mins to the new year. it’s very loud outside.)
the summary:
week 223: errands/dressmaker visit, shrek the musical, make-a-wish things
week 224: make-a-wish things, little sis pageant, car errands & din tai fung (it’s very good food), tree planting hike & wicked date
week 225: more errands & she got her gown for upcoming wedding (she looked so stunningly beautiful), nails & gingerbread house decorating, get her car fixed & lotus dates, wedding, comp & orchestra, pampanga trip
week 226: our last wish grant, errands, met friends & alice ballet, mcdo fun run
week 227: alice musical & visited her old workplace, walk & talk, white men concerts, visit antipolo friends & httyd with sibs
week 228: she had maw stuff and i accompanied her, bebis in the mall & vet, first simbang gabi with her & coffee cupping workshop, 711 fun run registration
week 229: Christmas week. quick h-cafe date & food pickup errands for Christmas eve, pampanga trip on Christmas day, long drive to comp & she accompanied me (i love long rides with her)
the rest of the year: family trip to resort & gifts giving (i love all her gifts & i love her), disney on ice & ikea dinner & last photobooth of the year
many many happenings for the last 7 weeks. very happy.
the reflection:
what a year this has been. have i grown as a person? yes. by very much. by a lot a lot. but all the growing has also made me more aware of how much more i need to learn & grow.
some of the things i’ve come to learn this year.
- always tell the truth or at least don’t lie.
- love is both a feeling & a choice.
- making money is easy, being patient is hard.
- i’m very lucky to have found someone i want to spend the rest of my life with. extremely lucky. i want to go on more adventures with her and just do life with her, in general.
- people are not nice. they are greedy & selfish.
- judge people based on their actions, not their words.
- will probably be the last year i take cubing seriously.
- making stuff is fun. making stuff for surprises is even more fun.
- i am not built to stay up late.
- it feels very nice in the heart area to make people happy.
- i need to be more courageous. i lack self-confidence. i need to fix that.
- do not drive when sleepy.
- it’s hard to finish work when you’re bored.
- i need to set a proper sleep schedule.
- love is in the little things.
- i should start read more again.
that’s it. it is now Jan 01, 2026. the last year has been a roller coaster ride. i’ve done many a stupid things and i’ve learned along the way.
looking forward to 2026, more challenges to come for sure. i’m excited because i won’t be facing them alone. it’s gonna be very fun for sure! i love you J!
