I’m turning 21 tomorrow, and I’ve realized a few things during my 21 years of rent-free stay here on this earth, playing my part in this very exaggerated drama we call life.
Here’s another realization I can add to that growing list. Learn to laugh at life a little more. I believe I’ve already been doing this subconsciously all my life, but it’s only been recently that I’ve started putting it into practice in a more conscious manner.
Because, think about it, life is already pretty dang hard, instead of making the weight heavier than it already is, why not make it easier for yourself and everybody around you by trying to find the funny in every situation, no matter how bleak the circumstances might look, it is there, I promise. It’s your choice though, to actually look, some don’t choose to look and that’s why they get angry or they cry. Plus, humor has the added benefit of making the situation lighter, not heavier, so it’s actually productive.
Lemme wrap up by providing the quote that started all this pandering in the first place. It really is a beautiful quote, and it’s just good advice, to be honest.
…for it is more human to laugh at life that to lament it.
Seneca
Oh ye, this week was fine. It was very rainy actually.
