I need a better [insert tool/equipment here]

Equipment doesn’t matter, it’s the output made from that equipment that will really make a difference at the end of the day.

In the lens of freelancing. A client will not give a hoot whether the graphics delivered, or the copy written were made using an Apple or Windows device.

You know that it’s true.

So, stop making up excuses that you need this new tool or that custom built PC to be able to do a proper job, you don’t. I’m quite certain that you already have everything at your disposal to be able to properly deliver a quality service.
