A Week in Dale’s Life – Week 50

The things that needed doing this week have been done. So I would say that this has been a productive week.

Nothing else stands out, aside from this being my 50th weekly log. What a nice even number.

Give me 2 more weeks and I’ll have been doing this for a year, that’s something to think about.

And writing that last sentence has now made me ponder on what subject I should write about for my 1st anniversary.

But that’s still a ways off, I shall think more on that when the necessity arises.

Now that I think about, there is one thing that I have read/heard that had stuck and made quite a shift on how I perceive writing.

And it is this quote from Mr. Clemens’ autobiography (good book btw, highly recommended read),

“…when the heart has something to say the product is literature, no matter whether the phrasing loyally follows accepted literary forms or splendidly ignores them…”

What a wonderfully beautiful quote. And I find it to be very true.

I shall try more often to follow it’s wisdom.
