the purpose of a good apology is not to make you feel better. most times it’s difficult to apologize for your fumbles, it’s supposed po be.
here’s a few elements of a good apology:
- seeing the perspective of who you caused harm to
- accepting responsibility for your actions
- making an offer of repair. don’t just verbally say that you will do better next time. actually do better next time bro
the whole point of an apology is not for you to receive forgiveness, the point of an apology is to express remorse and mean it, to accept accountability for your actions and to not repeat your mistakes and actually do better next time.
